Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is a leader in the digital health revolution. With the launch of a full Electronic Patient Record in 2017 the Trust aims to be the safest, most efficient and patient centred Trust in the NHS. The launch is part of a 10-15 year ongoing project of modernisation with future opportunities for research, development in this rapidly developing field of medicine. Through working at CHFT you can be part of this innovative area aiming to bring safer and more effective care to our patients.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our cardiology team. We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills and an enthusiasm for caring for patients who have cardiac conditions.
You will be responsible for promoting a high standard of nursing care and multi-disciplinary working. You will be expected to adopt a team approach to problem-solving and therefore good communication and organisational skills are essential.
Post registration experience in cardiology or coronary care is desirable but not essential. Successful applicants will work within a friendly, supportive team who are enthusiastic and strive to deliver care of a high quality whilst maintaining patient safety and most of all putting the patient and their care first by working together to get results.
Ward 6C is currently a 16 bedded ward that is a step down from Coronary Care for cardiac patients.
You will work closely within the cardiology team to help prepare and care for patients undergoing coronary angiograms and pacemaker insertion. You will also care for patients that are awaiting other cardiological interventions or are suffering from congestive cardiac failure. You will liaise with Coronary Care and the Cath lab to ensure that the patients experience is of a high standard.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
