Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust aspires to be a leader in the digital health revolution. With the launch of a full Electronic Patient Record in 2017 the Trust aims to be the safest, most efficient and patient centred Trust in the NHS. The launch is part of a 10-15 year ongoing project of modernisation with future opportunities for research, development in this rapidly developing field of medicine. Through working at CHFT you can be part of this innovative area aiming to bring safer and more effective care to our patients.

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust became a Foundation Trust on 1 August 2006. Five years earlier we had taken the huge step of combining hospitals in Huddersfield and Halifax to create one Trust.

We provide 24-hour acute healthcare services to around 435,000 people who live in the local area, and we provide community services to this population too. We also have patients who travel from further afield to access our services. To do this, we have more than 5,800 employees and we are supported by over 400 volunteers and the League of Friends, and have a financial turnover of more than £350m.

Our Trust is set in the beautiful area of West Yorkshire in the north of England half way between the two vibrant cities of Leeds and Manchester offering the very best of career opportunities and a fabulous place to live in one of the loveliest areas in the country.

An opportunity has now arisen for some enthusiastic and highly skilled band 5 Physiotherapists to join our musculoskeletal outpatients team. The posts would rotate around locations within the Calderdale and Huddersfield health economy, working in lively and friendly teams where you will have support on an informal basis and through formal supervision and annual appraisal. In addition to mandatory training you will have opportunities to participate in relevant in-service training as part of continual professional development.  This post also requires you to participate in the emergency respiratory on call service, and may require seven day working in the future.

All candidates will be considered if an NHS outpatient physiotherapy rotation has been completed as a graduate physiotherapist.

"Post graduate experience in a range of clinical areas" is a desirable, not essential criteria.

The post holder will be required to demonstrate that they have completed core rotations as a post graduate, including having significant musculoskeletal experience.
