We are looking to recruit an exceptional individual to the post of Director of Operations within the Division of Families and Specialist Services, a key role in leading a Division of varied and well-performing services.
Working with a Divisional Director (Medical), the Director of Operations is responsible, alongside the Assistant Director of Finance and Associate Director of Nursing, for leading a diverse workforce across a number of directorates including:
- Women’s and Children’s
- Outpatients and Patient Administration
Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the post holder will occupy an operationally strategic role responsible for fostering and developing effective team working across the directorates and with the other divisions across the Trust. The post holder will also take the lead across the Trust for agreed portfolios as relevant to Operational priorities and will participate in the Director on call Rota
The post holder will ensure the successful achievement of Divisional and Trust-wide goals, ensuring that the wider corporate agenda is appropriately reflected within the divisional priorities.
The Director of Operations will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of the Trust’s strategic direction, through working in partnership with other divisions, corporate directorates, like minded organisations and commissioners and by taking a leading role in one or more corporate strategic issues on behalf of the Trust.
You will have significant recent experience at a very senior level, with responsibility for operational delivery including clinical quality, people management, and successful delivery of performance targets within strict financial controls.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
