Through working at CHFT you can be part of this innovative area aiming to bring safer and more effective care to our patients.

We are looking to recruit a highly experience respiratory physiotherapist to join our Respiratory and Surgical Team at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary where they will lead on out-patient interventions delivered by the team as well as delivering interventions in our acute respiratory and surgical areas. Ideally, candidates should have experience in out patient respiratory interventions and also in ICU/Critical care, surgery and associated respiratory practice. Candidates will be expected to represent the respiratory team at MDT level and input into a variety service developments both at a service and Trust level.

Here at CHFT we have a very robust on call, oxygen and respiratory physiotherapy training programme which supports physiotherapy staff at all levels in preparing for and maintaining knowledge and skills in respiratory care. The successful candidate would be expected to jointly develop and lead the delivery of such training with fellow Respiratory  Clinical Lead Physiotherapists from across both hospital sites.

Upon appointment, the successful candidate will work alongside fellow In-patient Respiratory Clinical Leads, and those within the Community Healthcare Division in leading and developing the service. They will be supported in professional and clinical supervision by an 8a Advanced Clinical Specialist  Respiratory Physiotherapist and have leadership supervision from one of the Team Leaders for the In Patient Therapy Team.

We encourage and support CPD activity which may include a variety of internal and external development opportunities.

We operate an on call respiratory physiotherapy service overnight and also a 7 day rota for day time working. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in these which does included weekend and overnight working..
