Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust aspires to be a leader in the digital health revolution. With the launch of a full Electronic Patient Record in 2017 the Trust aims to be the safest, most efficient and patient centred Trust in the NHS. The launch is part of a 10-15 year ongoing project of modernisation with future opportunities for research, development in this rapidly developing field of medicine. Through working at CHFT you can be part of this innovative area aiming to bring safer and more effective care to our patients.

Calderdale & Huddersfield HNS Foundation Trust’s Radiology Department are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated person with excellent leadership and communication skills to lead our friendly nursing team.

As the Lead Nurse within Radiology you will be a vital and valued member of the multi-disciplinary Interventional radiology team, working closely with the Interventional Radiology Consultants in ensuring that a wide range of specialised radiological procedures are delivered to the highest standards of care to our patients.

This post is varied and unique – leading the nursing team in pre, peri and post care of patients undergoing interventional and imaging procedures.

We operate a Radiology day care unit and the service is further supported by a 24/7emergency on call Interventional Radiology service. The successful applicant will be expected to be flexible and to take part in an on-call rota.

This post offers great opportunity in expanding your managerial role whilst providing hands-on nursing care pre-operatively, intra-operatively and recovery for a varied range of interventional procedures such as EVAR and embolisation.

Although previous Radiology, Cardiology, theatre or Endoscopy nursing experience would be beneficial, it is not essential as full training will be given to the successful applicant.
