Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust is looking for highly motivated Consultants in Emergency Medicine to join our team at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
This is primarily a leadership and development role and you will need to clearly demonstrate strong leadership qualities, most notably communication, decision-making and influencing skill as well as the ability to manage change
Main duties of the job
This post will be your opportunity to influence the development of the Directorate of Emergency Medicine and how the overall Division functions.
The Trust is committed to meaningful clinical leadership and the successful applicant will have the authority and freedom to generate real change from the outset.

Qualification
Essential criteria
- MRCP or equivalent (2)(2)
- You must be on the specialist register for Emergency Medicine or within 6 months of being admitted to the register for trainees, if currently in a training programme in the UK. In accordance with the regulations, all other categories of Doctors must be on the GMC specialist register to be considered for a consultant appointment by the Advisory Appointments Committee
- Applicants must continue to hold a Licence to Practise

- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in all aspects of Emergency Medicine (2) Evidence of ability to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of all patients presenting to the Emergency Department (2)

- Understanding current issues within emergency medicine and the future direction of the specialty
